Waar iedereen dacht dat een vijandige, anti-Google samenwerking de realiteit zou gaan worden, kwam Facebook-Bing met &#8216;iets sociaals&#8217;. Wat Bing concreet gaat doen is iets wat Google tevens wilde gaan doen.. <!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Google heeft aangegeven meer Facebookresultaten in bijvoorbeeld de Google Alerts te gaan tonen. Microsoft heeft tevens aangegeven meer resultaten van Facebook in hun zoekmachine Bing te gaan tonen. Hiermee hoopt Microsoft de strijd met Google beter aan te kunnen. Ook de sociale content die met een Facebook &#8216;Like&#8217; is bestempeld zal in zoekmachine Bing een plek gaan krijgen. Concreet: &#8216;The Facebook data provides important &#8220;signals&#8221; to help refine search results, Microsoft Online Services Division President Qi Lu told reporters at a Silicon Valley event attended by Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg.&#8217; Ook zal bij het zoeken met gebruik van Bing specifieke profielinformatie van Facebook in de zoeker verschijnen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Enige tijd geleden heeft Microsoft reeds een belang in Facebook gekocht. Tevens is Microsoft\u00a0een 10-jarige samenwerking met Yahoo! aangegaan om de zoekmachine-activiteiten te verstevigen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Los-vast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dat het allemaal niet nieuws is bewijst het persbericht uit februari dit jaar. Daarin geeft Microsoft aan dat ze minder betaalde adds Facebook inschieten maar meer gaan samenwerken op gebied van zoekmachinemarketing.
