Vine is het grafische programma dat in 2013 (nog voor echte lancering) is ingelijfd door Twitter. Animaties en korte video’s gemaakt met Vine gingen de timeline in. Op 26 oktober 2016 heeft Twitter Inc. bekend gemaakt dat het stopt met de dienst ‘Vine’.<\/p>\n

Sinds begin 2016 is meer dan de helft van de bekende en actieve Vine-gebruikers gestopt. Blog Business Insider geeft aan dat het mislukken van Vine – als strategisch middel van Twitter Inc. – vooral ligt aan het feit dat nauwelijks iets aan innovatie heeft gedaan.<\/p>\n

Met het enorme aanbod van grafische oplossingen en het ‘gewoon’ laten afspelen van een Gif of MP4 in de timeline van Twitter, lijkt Vine ook minder relevant met hun aanbod van 6-seconden loops. De site blijft nog live en gebruikers kunnen nog hun bestaande Vines eventueel downloaden.<\/p>\n
