Twitter heeft via hun Twitter Dev account bekend gemaakt dat het platform een nieuwe functionaliteit\u00a0aan het testen is (zie afbeelding boven).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Twitter today continues to push forward with its increased emphasis on its messaging feature, with the rollout of <a href=\"https:\/\/publish.twitter.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new button for websites<\/a> that allows visitors to privately message an individual or company directly. The feature, now one of several website buttons available, follows the company\u2019s recent test of a change to brands\u2019 customer support profiles\u2019 that <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2016\/08\/05\/twitters-latest-test-encourages-users-to-direct-message-brands-not-tweet-at-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">encouraged users to direct message<\/a>, not tweet, at the business\u2019s Twitter account.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Service en priv\u00e9berichten<\/h1>\n<p>Websitebezoekers kunnen <a href=\"https:\/\/publish.twitter.com\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">nu via een nieuwe button<\/span><\/a> op de site DM\u2019s (priv\u00e9berichten) naar een persoon of bedrijf sturen. De app test\u00a0de functionaliteit bij bedrijven als\u00a0Activision Apple en Uber. Twitter zou op deze manier\u00a0gebruikt kunnen worden door consumenten\u00a0voor service doeleinden. Het idee achter de nieuwe DM-button is dat consumenten wellicht minder snel publiekelijk hun klacht delen en meer de persoonlijke communicatie opzoeken. Twitter lijkt zo vooral zijn hoofdfunctie in serviceverlening te vinden en concurreert in de zakelijke markt met de nieuwe messaging mogelijkheden die Facebook en natuurlijk WhatsApp bieden.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Twitter, meanwhile, has become known better as a place where consumers go to complain when things go wrong \u2013 often posting angry tweets, with the brand\u2019s @username attached.
