Deze dag is uitgeroepen door de Verenigde Naties sinds\u00a01996. Voor de derde keer bundelen de Europese Broadcast (EBU), Vereniging van commerci\u00eble televisie in Europa (VCT) en EGTA, de vereniging van tv\u00a0sales houses hun krachten om deze dag te vieren. Lokale tv\u00a0marketingorganisaties als SPOT haken hierop in. Thema van dit jaar is Millennials.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"World Television Day 2015\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PXIpPqFtqTk?feature=oembed&#038;wmode=opaque\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"Default\">De rol van tv<\/h2>\n<p>Speciaal voor deze dag is een\u00a0video\u00a0van 30 seconden gemaakt, waarin de rol van tv\u00a0in de levens van jongeren in de schijnwerper wordt gezet. Deze clip is te zien op tv-zenders in Europa, Azi\u00eb, Canada, VS en Australi\u00eb. Om hun liefde voor televisie te vieren, worden kijkers aangemoedigd om #WeloveTV en #WorldTVDay te gebruiken op 21 november. SPOT besteedt zaterdag via haar communicatiekanalen ook aandacht aan de schoonheid van het medium tv. De bij SPOT aangesloten Nederlandse tv-zenders zenden deze dag ook de clip uit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tv\u00a0domineert medialeven Millennials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De EBU, VCT en EGTA hebben de\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldtelevisionday.com\/facts-and-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">belangrijkste cijfers<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in kaart gebracht over het mediaconsumptiegedrag van jonge kijkers. Tv-marketingorganisaties wereldwijd verzamelden de nieuwste cijfers om te laten zien hoe de hedendaagse relatie tussen Millennials en tv\u00a0eruit ziet. Hoeveel uren kijken Millennials tv? Hoe dominant is video in hun leven is? Hoe staan jongeren tegenover tv-reclame?\u00a0 Deze onderzoeken zijn samengevat zet in een\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spot.nl\/docs\/default-source\/millenials\/20151119-factsheet-millennials-world-television-day-2015.pdf?sfvrsn=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">factsheet<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To celebrate their love of television, viewers are encouraged to use the hashtags #WeloveTV and #WorldTVDay on social networks on 21 November. EBU Director-General Ingrid Deltenre states that today\u2019s anniversary is a timely reminder of the golden age of television we are living in. \u201cThere is more, and better quality TV content than ever before and as consumers we have so much more choice about how to enjoy it all, since it is available to us whenever and wherever we want.
