En terecht. Toch voelen zij &#8211; ondanks de 70 miljoen foto&#8217;s per dag die worden gedeeld op het social media netwerk &#8211; de hete adem van Meerkat en Periscope in de nek. Veel toepassingen kunnen nu eenmaal veel van het zelfde. En dat is pijnlijk. Net zo pijnlijk is het feit dat Instagram niet zomaar kan live streamen.<br \/>\nWel kun je op basis van tags alles van een plaats, trending nieuws, speciale dag of anders bij elkaar brengen om zo de relevantie te versterken. Het beter kunnen zoeken, is een van die grote updates. De tags &#8211; die bij de content worden geplaatst &#8211; spelen een grote rol. Zo moet het mogelijk gaan worden om heel snel alle content te zien die rondom of op #vaderdag is gedeeld. Relevantie is key voor de ruim 300 miljoen gebruikers van Instagram. Location based en tagging gaan een rol spelen. Daarbij gaat Instagram &#8211; met een extra tab in het menu &#8211; de actuele trends weergeven. Welke content past bij het actuele nieuws?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>With more than 70 million photos and videos posted to Instagram every day, wherever something is happening, chances are you can see it here. Het bijelkaar &#8216;pakken&#8217; \u00a0van &#8216;relevante content&#8217; \u00a0gebeurde al, en kon reeds in 2012. De ontwikkelaars noemen het zelf een vorm van curated content. Toch blijft het gemak, het daadwerkelijk gebruik en de.. relevantie nog een issue. Het is de bedoeling dat je heel snel leert te ontdekken welke tags, plekken en event &#8216;hot&#8217; zijn. Is het de #startofsummer of #fathersday? Subtiel houdt Instagram de toepassingen zeer visueel. Het is de bedoeling dat jij echt ontdekt wat in de buurt trending is. En daar.. maakt Instagram wellicht een denkfout. Niet iedereen heeft de location based services actief aan staan. De zoekresultaten zullen dus niet altijd locatie-relevantie zijn of gaan worden. Hoe dit in de praktijk werkt, zal in de toekomst blijken. Helaas is de &#8216;extra tab&#8217; alleen nog in de VS beschikbaar.
