Hij\u00a0werd landelijk bekend door zijn ambulance drone vinding. Alex start met een demo van een vliegende ambulance drone. Een hi-speed drone die binnen enkele minuten op de plek van het ongeval kan zijn. De kern is de &#8217;emergency response&#8217;. Een netwerk van drones moet veel levens gaan redden in de toekomst. Het cynische is dat Alec geen ambitie heeft om een eigen onderneming op te starten en vond dat dit idee juist open moest zijn. Geen claim op een patent maar een idee waar anderen mee aan de slag kunnen. De video en het concept ging compleet viraal. De media schreef met veel enthousiasme over de vinding en dit gaf goede respons op het idee van de Belg. Daarbij de vraag of hij over vijf jaar nog steeds.. &#8220;Mr. Drone&#8221; \u00a0wil zijn. Het werd tijd voor meer visie. Alec haalt hierbij de Why aan. Ontwikkelaars moet meer bezig zijn met de Why anders dan de What. Het ontwerpen en bekend maken gaf een noodzakelijk reflectie. That\u2019s the rule product designer Alec Momont (Leuven, Belgium) lives by. Momont recently made international headlines for his defibrillator-fitted ambulance drones that can substantially increase the chances of a person\u2019s survival after a cardiac arrest. The design was made as part of Momont\u2019s thesis project during his MSc at TU Delft.
