[Video] YouTube Red biedt per 28 oktober save offline, ad-free video en spelen op de achtergrond
YouTube had al eerder aangekondigd met abonnementen te komen met meer mogelijkheden. Zo worden tegen betaling de advertenties weggelaten. Ook kun je de video offline bekijken (opslaan) en laten spelen op de achtergrond. De prijs is zo’n 10 dollar per maand!
YouTube Red lets you enjoy videos across all of YouTube without ads, while also letting you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background, all for $9.99 a month. Your membership extends across devices and anywhere you sign into YouTube, including our recently launched Gaming app and a brand new YouTube Music app we’re announcing today that will be available soon.

De betaling gaat ook (in 2016) zorgen voor een uitbreiding van de geboden content. Ook wordt de link tussen Google Music en YouTube (music) sterker. De Amerikanen kunnen het contentkanaal per eind oktober 2015 een maand gratis gebruiken.
