Solution Architect Enterprise Content Management (ECM) & Mobile

This is a key IT role for someone with strong analytical skills across multiple technical domains. Your core function is to develop, build and maintain the logical information architecture for the Digital Workplace platform. You also perform the ongoing innovation and improvement of the platform’s ECM and mobile capabilities.

You achieve this by seeing the long-term picture while focusing on the detail, solving problems and remaining neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices.

The position is based in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and you will join a multinational and multicultural organization that is committed to your personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you support demand management in writing project charters and then translate them into detailed requirements solutions and architecture within roadmaps. In doing so you ensure that solutions are compatible with the existing (technical) architecture within Platform Services (PS), ensure compliance with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget, and operational supportability, and establish impact assessments.

This requires you to design tests and document solutions using a structured approach (Proof of Concept). In addition you design integration components and interfaces and produce integration test specifications and input to training plans.

At all time you monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, evaluating their relevance. You also review the services maturity for a specific PS area and propose initiatives to improve the service.

You influence others with regard to the role and relevance of Solution Architecture in the business. This requires you to drive knowledge, training, and support across the relevant application analysts in the hubs, and to identify opportunities to build cross-functional working relationships.

Candidate profile
To apply for this position you must possess the following attributes:
• Master / Bachelor degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field;
• Around 5-10 years of experience in the IT sector, preferably including 3-5 years in the relevant platform / application(s);
• Proven expertise in business process modelling and application architecture design (logical and physical), frameworks (TOGAF), tools, technologies, methodologies;
• Experience of designing domain information architectures, and extensive knowledge of metadata modeling, configuration and management of taxonomies, tagging and information storage and retrieval methodologies and technologies;
• Specific knowledge of and experience with content management technologies, Microsoft Sharepoint and OpenText platforms is preferred;
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills including fluent written and spoken English.
