[Vacature] Senior Media Planner bij G-Star te Amsterdam

G-Star RAW is looking for a senior media planner to support the media team at their headquarters in Amsterdam. The media team is accountable for G-Star RAW media strategy and planning globally and serves as an in-house media agency. The senior media planner will be a member of the Marketing/ Media Department and reports to the Media Manager.
The senior media planner is responsible for creating regional media strategy plans in line with the overall marketing-communication strategy and makes sure the G-Star RAW brand message reaches the consumer in an impactful and effective manner. The ideal candidate is a confident pro-active team player able to drive media-planning across a range of different media-related projects, from initial stage to completion.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • set strategic media directions that support the business goals and marketing – communication goals for your markets. This is in regards to the global marketing campaigns and/ or in-between marketing initiatives.
  • create, manage and execute the media strategy and planning in a detailed, creative, local-relevant, impactful, consistent and a cost-efficient manner (brief, negotiate, optimize and analyze).
  • make sure the plan is supported by main stakeholders and liaise with Sales and PR internally to be sure that we are covering key-markets/ areas and leveraging the relationships between paid, owned and earned media.
  • secure accurate budgeting, day-to-day forecasting, implementing and reporting.
  • brief and asses the campaign creative assets/ media deliverables and ensure they meet global communication objectives and at the same time meet local needs, relevance and requirements.
  • ensure the media activities contribute to the marketing – communication goals, and impact on brand metrics and business results, all activities taken should be in line with strategy and positioning.
  • establish strong relationships with key media partners, agencies and the internal departments.
  • make sure the campaigns runs and delivers according plan in an efficient, monitoring and optimizing on a day-to-day basis
  • provide after-campaign reports with an analysis of the campaign effect assessed by dedicated brand surveys, data- monitoring tools, sell-out figures and other tracking systems. Take learnings into account for future plans.
  • provide reports/ presentations on trends and opportunities in media and constantly identify relevant developments.

Profile

  • University graduate with expertise in business, marketing, media, communications or equivalent combination of education, training and expertise.
  • experience (4 years +) in integrated media planning and buying across all channels, specialist in digital media (B2C), good understanding of 360 deals, bespoke partnerships, media innovations/ trends.
  • experience related to brand re-positioning and brand image media campaigns is a plus.
  • demonstrate strong technical, analytical, and ability to use insights/ data to gain insights and drive decisions supported by strong communication skills.
  • experienced with estimating impact of business requests and building business cases for change and investment that will ultimately drive revenue for the business and/ or show uplift in brand metrics.
  • passion for digital media/- advertising, demonstrated through up-to-date knowledge of the latest digital trends and shifting media-consumption behaviors and the ability to act upon this.
  • ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, professional in project management, creative approach to problem-solving skills and stakeholder management
  • organizational skills to manage complex media schedules across multiple geographical markets, ability to manage many different deadline-driven projects at once.
  • pro-active flexible team player with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • passion for the fashion industry and in particular a good understanding of the G-Star RAW Brand DNA.
  • excellent listener and communicator, both verbally and in writing. Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
