Responsible for developing and executing CAG (Companion Animal Group) strategic marketing programs across IDEXX International regions. This position is responsible for developing long-term strategy designed to achieve IDEXX’s Strategic Plan. Also responsible for day-to-day leadership of EMEA CAG marketing, to include CAG program design, sales training content and delivery, market research, and direct communications to customers to include customer-facing Web Services. Responsible to create, enhance and execute the vision of ONE IDEXX. Adheres to, models and mentors the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes the strategic vision for CAG Diagnostic Marketing Internationally. Responsible for the translation and integration of LOB strategies.
  • Works across EMEA, Latin America and Europe to develop alignment on key international strategies.
  • Creates and leads a single EMEA CAG marketing group to articulate and execute the vision of ONE IDEXX.
  • Responsible to work with EMEA and International GM’s and CAG LOB’s to achieve financial objectives, growth and profitability.
  • Responsible for VetLab, Reference Lab and Rapid Assay commercial marketing including the design and implementation of all commercial programs.
  • Works with country marketing teams to align vision, strategy, key programs and Brand standards.
  • Responsible for the CAG Training organization including training content and delivery. Creates the tools and materials required by the International Sales force to promote ONE IDEXX and strengthen overall “solutions –based” selling skills.Manages direct staff, assigning work, monitoring activities and evaluating performance.
  • Manages escalated/critical issues. Administers employment actions, provides coaching and guidance to staff and promotes staff training and development.
  • Work across LOBs/CAG to determine optimal approach to IDEXX markets, strategy and annual budget.
  • Provides leadership for cross organization and cross-functional communication, processes and system improvements.
  • Adheres to, models and mentors the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or relevant technical discipline
  • MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership and management experience
  • Profit and loss responsibility in fast growing company preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate positioning and messaging

  • Proven track record of successful management & leadership abilities with the ability to inspire

and lead teams, navigate through a matrix environment and develop leaders who will do the same

  • Good Business Acumen and instincts when assessing product development opportunities

  • Ability to write business plans, reports and analysis, and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,

technical procedures, governmental regulations, and scientific journals

  •  Excellent presentation skills; ability to present and explain product information to all audiences

(across IDEXX as well as customer KOLs)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Extended hours may be required
  • 20 – 40% travel required
