YME is responsible for coordinating the marketing and sales activities of Yamaha Motor products in the European market, being mainly: Yamaha motorcycles and scooters, marine outboard engines, Wave runner water vehicles, 4-wheel All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s), golf cars, snowmobiles and generators.
Within the Marketing division of YME, located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a full time:
Communication Coordinator
The Communication Coordinator plans and executes the production of all offline communication materials and online contents (excluding social media) for all assigned products and their related accessories and for events, in collaboration and in alignment with the strategy and targets as set by the Brand Marketing Department and Digital & CRM Department. He/she makes the communication materials available to our distributors in Europe for localization, printing and distribution and acts as a project leader or co-project leader of the projects assigned by the Department Manager.
Principle accountabilities:
• Making the initial planning of production of the standard and additional deliverables at the beginning of each season – based upon the launch embargoes, product production schedule and in agreement with the Brand Marketing Department;
• Guardian of yearly planning to secure the deadlines;
• Management and monitoring of all communication agencies involved in the production of the materials;
• Preparation/presentation of necessary creative briefs – based upon the marketing plan and product strategy/positioning information of the assigned products and their related accessories as provided by the Brand Marketing Department and conform the Yamaha brand values – required to produce the communication materials for the various stakeholders (customers, press, dealers, distributors, Pan-European shows);
• Lead coordinator in the YME team involved in the approval process of creative proposals, artwork, copy, imagery, etc. as presented by the related agencies;
• Attendance of photo-video shootings to secure the proper quality of these assets;
• Guardian of the Yamaha Visual Identity;
• Responsible to check the proper implementation of the assets in the various communication channels;
• Project/co-project leader of assigned communication related projects that improve the working efficiency and our services towards various parties;
• Budget and costs control;
• Preparing and presenting competitors’ analysis on communication at the end of each season;
• Helping your fellow colleagues out during periods of high work volume.
Profile of the suitable candidate:
• Passion and knowledge for communication strategy/tools;
• Pro-active, able to motive others, flexible, problem solving, great improvisation skills, team spirit;
• Good at working under pressure;
• Highly accurate;
• Great verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills towards people of different working levels within the Yamaha organization;
• Fluency in English – Proficiency-level. Other (universal) language skills are an asset;
• Great working skills with all Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
• Affinity in working with various systems/databases and the logical thinking behind them;
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar communication job.
