OFFICIEEL: ‘CEO? Twitter brings back Jack Dorsey!’

De geruchten gingen al, maar mede-oprichter Jack Dorsey is wederom de CEO van Twitter Inc. LA Times wist dit maandag 5 oktober 2015 einde middag te melden.

“Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s first chief executive, is back as head of the microblogging company. Dorsey, 38, is one of Twitter’s co-founders and was the company’s chief executive from May 2007 to October 2008. He has been serving as interim chief executive since July after the departure of Dick Costolo. According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Dorsey will not receive direct compensation for his role as Twitter’s chief executive.”

Na de terugtreding van oud-CEO Dick Costolo, was Dorsey wederom interim-CEO. Costolo vertrok juni 2015 na wederom tegenvallende resultaten. Dorsey blijft ook werkzaam voor betalingssysteem Square Inc. De vraag is of Jack Dorsey Twitter Inc. nu wel winstgevend krijgt op de lange termijn.
