Het team achter Kifi – een online contentdienst om eenvoudige online content op te slaan, in te delen en door te delen – is opgekocht door Google. Het team sluit zich aan bij Google Spaces om nog betere en nieuwe contentdiensten te ontwikkelen. Google lijkt hiermee flink op het overnamepad.

Kifi lets you Keep anything that you find on the Internet, from important research articles, to insightful videos, services or products that you want to purchase. You can even Keep pages from an internal admin tool or cloud-hosted documents, like those in a bookkeeping program. Being able to find a page without retracing all your steps from your favorite browser is a huge time saver. Kifi does this for free. Here how it works.

Bookmarking plus

Kifi is een ultieme bookmark-dienst waarmee je alles van het web kunt opslaan en archiveren en kent onder andere plugins voor Chrome. Het ligt in de verwachting dat Kifi een dienst gaat worden die aan de Google browser standaard wordt toegevoegd en wellicht wel vanuit de search en Google Drive gaat functioneren. Het levert Google vooral extra info op over wat de consument nu echt aantrekkelijke content vindt. Helaas is direct na de overname de online registratie gesloten.

The first results will always be what is Kept on Kifi, so that you can see what articles and information your Kifi co-users have found useful.
