BlackBerry doet proef met betalen via messaging
Telefoonproducent BlackBerry gaat testen met de mogelijkheid om via PayPal betalingen te doen in hun eigen messenger. Het Canadese bedrijf maakte dit bekend op zijn blog. Het gaat specifiek om een betaalfunctie in BBM Chats waarmee gebruikers elkaar geld kunnen overmaken bij bijvoorbeeld een gezamenlijk aankoopbedrag. De functie komt als eerste beschikbaar in Canada waarna een wereldwijde uitrol begint.
BlackBerry meldt op hun INSIDE BlackBerry:
BBM and PayPal have teamed up to make sending and receiving money through your BBM Chats even easier. Just connect your PayPal account to your BBM. Once your BBM contacts do the same, you can start sending and receiving money – it’s that simple.
Starting today, the external beta will be available for BlackBerry, iOS and Android BBM users in Canada, and will roll out to other regions around the globe in the coming weeks.
