[Presentatie] Event-verslag optreden Edwin Korver: social selling en het CEL-model

Tijdens het #socialselling Adfo seminar op 29 oktober 2015 sprak ondernemer, spreke en consultant Edwin Korver over zijn Social Media Life Cycle model (CEL). Engagement, social media markeitng en social sellingen komen samen in dit frisse model dat inmiddels internationaal erkenning heeft gekregen.

De passie van Korver
Korver is een drukke en belegen man met Passie. Hij schrijft over zichzelf:
Mijn passie en persoonlijke missie ligt in het inzichtelijk maken van vaak complexe materie, liggend op het kruispunt van technologie, economie, management en marketing. Dat doe ik onder andere via iCity Magazine, het delen van relevante content via mijn sociale media kanalen, het ontwikkelen van business modellen en door bedrijven bij te staan in het ontwikkelen/tunen van de digitale marketing strategie.

Korver begint zijn verhaal met het kader dat alles digitaal zal worden wat ook digitaal zou kunnen worden. De disruptie is leidend voor alle markten. De spreker komt met definities van Digital Marketing en leidt geleidelijk een definitie in van social selling. Het draait vooral om jouw (eigen) merk en de relaties die je daar mee opbouwt. De ‘common interests’ zijn leidend in een gelijke relatie die noodzakelijk is voor succesvolle social selling, aldus Korver.

De sterke link tussen merken, relaties en vriendschap is voor de spreker heilig. De emotie lijkt veel op elkaar en social selling werkt als de relatie tussen het merk en de crowd ook emotie opwerkt. Social media marketing dient vooral ingezet te worden om het (verloren) vertrouwen in merken en organisaties op een menselijke en oprechte manier terug te winnen.

Only humans
Duidelijk is de stelling dat we het denken in B2B en B2c achter ons moeten laten. Only humans! Steve Jobs komt langs (‘I believe’) net als social engagement guru Brian Solis. Ook komt de CEO van T-Mobile op een opmerkelijke manier langs in een engaging video-verhaal.
Edwin Korver werkt in zijn presentatie opbouwend naar het presenteren van zijn CEL-model. In dit model staan vier nieuwe P’s centraal hangend tussen ‘retain’ en ‘acquire’:
