VIDEO: Google lanceert Google+ en Circles+ brengen ‘real-life sharing’
Google maakte begin 2011 bekend dat het een eigen sociale netwerk genaamd ‘Circles’ mei dit jaar zou gaan lanceren. Na de dompers genaamd Wave en Buzz heeft Google een topper nodig op sociale media-gebied. Dit is dan ook uitgesproken als onderdeel van de nieuwe strategie van de grootste zoekmachine ter wereld. Google+ en overkoepelende Circles+ zouden dit moeten zijn. We hadden reeds enkele weken geleden de lancering van beoordelings-optie +1, nu dan het + netwerk.
Wat doet Google+? Het lanceert diverse eigen kleine sociale netwerken zoals die van collega’s en vrienden. Het segmenteert jouw sociale netwerk in kleinere, beheersbare netwerken. Anders dan Facebook waar je al je contacten op een grote hoop gooit. “We’d like to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to software. We want to make Google better by including you, your relationships, and your interests. And so begins the Google+ project”

Kleine netwerken
Fraai is de drag-and-drop optie die waarschijnlijk (wellicht alleen in Chrome) alleen actief is als je met een Google-applicatie zoals GMail bent ingelogd. Google neemt duidelijk afstand van de massa’s zoals deze in veel sociale netwerken worden aangeboden en komt met kleine sociale netwerken die meer gericht zijn op een afgesloten, kwalitatief netwerken van bijvoorbeeld een sportclub of oude vrienden. Bovendien kun je in deze netwerken eenvoudig uploads en andere content delen op basis van relevantie en waarschijnlijk met de +1 ook content en contacten gaan beoordelen.
