#Vacature PR & Communication Manager te Amsterdam

Travix International is one of the largest online travel companies with an extensive portfolio of travel-focused websites operating under the brand names CheapTickets, BudgetAir, EasyToBook.com, Vayama, Vliegwinkel and Flugladen. Travix is active in over 19 countries and employs around 700 people. The annual turnover of Travix is approximately U.S. $ 2 billion.   

Due to the international growth of Travix we are looking for an experienced:

PR & Communication Manager
Location: Amsterdam

Your activities will include;
• Define Travix’ PR and Communications strategy and lead the execution of this strategy;
• External communications: Write interesting and effective press releases, arranging interviews for executive management, maintaining relationships with the global press, prepare information for media kits, supporting our Brand Managers in their local PR activities, write draft speeches for the executive management;
• Internal communications: Develop and maintain the corporate intranet “InTravix” and the internal newsletter “Travix Talk”, responsible for setting up and executing communications on behalf of the CEO, acting as spokes person for CEO.

The above are just a few of the activities in this position. This position comes with the freedom to introduce your own ideas and creativity. Focus in this position will be on external communication and global PR. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Ideal candidate profile
• This position requires a degree in public relations, journalism or related field with 5-10 years of related experience;
• Interested and understanding of people in various cultures;
• Highly proficient in English oral and written communication;
• A broad network within the travel and/or finance industry is preferable.
